Reminiscenes

The previous post has my grandpa's story which he penned some three years after my grandma's departure from this world in 1996. My grandpa has posted us this story in the same year. Me and my mother wondered who was the lead female character in the story. After a careful perusal of the details in the story, we could conclude that it was none other than my grandma who loved me so much. My grandma is fortunate to have a loving and caring husband.

The only thing I heard of love is that it is blind and sweet! Perhaps, I realize this truth myself one day!

I'm ignorant...

My grandpa's real story..Castles came down crashing

She was lost to me since last three years. However, she used to visit me not infrequently. However, the gap seemed to me a long one this time. As I was walking along the pavement, I spotted her in the midst of some passers by. I rushed to her and asked her, if she would accompany me to a nearby town which we had visited earlier. Those were days when our grandchildren were growing fast to get married sooner or later. I hoped to pick up the thread from where we had left off then. She sighed and accompanied me. The town was just less than a hour's ride from our place and was just like any other town bustling with activity. The town had plenty of shops, theatres, restaurants and pavement shops, the boys yelling hoarse over their wares. The streets were always crowded and boisterous and busy till the last quarter of the day when shops owners downed their shutters for the day.

The day was young when we got there and being November, the chilly weather had just set in. There was a thick veil of mist overhanging the town, just unusual at that time! The streets were half empty and the few shops that were open showed not much activity. No more the high pitch yelling of the boys over their wares spread on the pavement. As the mercury fell below normal, the sky was overcast with dark clouds. The few passers by were seen scurrying as quickly as there heels would carry them to their houses as if perhaps to escape from some unknown, unseen impending calamity that was to befall the town.

Our hopes of catching up with time lay shattered, our search for what was not there, remained as such. Looking up, my eyes fell on a dusty disused roadway by the side of an ancient granite in mud wall almost reminding one of the Great wall of China. The road was supposed to link a Head Quarters town a hundred kilometres away. Our Hi-tech CM, with a penchant for turning everything old and ancient to a pleasant one for the benefit of tourists, had ordered men grill railings to be placed alongside the ancient wall, perhaps, more to prevent it being broken up by stray, speeding motorists than getting getting their bones broken in their hurry to get quickly to the other town. A few of the railing had already come up and they had been painted grey and silver and seemed to peep out as would newly wed blushing brides from their ancient veil of mud. I showed the contrast to her, but she was listless and didn't seem to evince any interest on it. The excitement, expectation, when we wandered hither and thither like love birds making ourselves merry over even petty things that our eyes set upon in our earlier days was not there.

As it was almost lunch time, I suggested that we go down town to a gay restaurant, which we used to visit on our previous outings here. On the way she wanted to purchase some gold. I proposed to take her to a nearby gold shop before lunch, but she preferred to have lunch first. We reached the place to find it as sullen and moody as the rest of the town, the grey mist had possibly followed our foot steps and managed to get there earlier to give us a chilly welcome. A pale gloom overhung in its spread. However, we made bold to enter the place and purchased ourselves lunch for a couple of dime.

Lunch was always served upstairs and as we climbed up the stairs, a chill ran down my spine, for there seemed to be something out of place unusual that was brightly painted as though they were in disuse for a long time. People wore a pale gloomy look and seemed to haunt our every step doggedly. As we turned the corner, a weird looking figure sprang up from nowhere and made signs that we go elsewhere and we quit the place quickly. I dismissed him as unworthy to take note of, but as an afterthought, I looked down after climbing down few steps and surprisingly there was no sign of him anywhere. I steered her to a vacant table and as we were about to make ourselves comfortable, she was no more by my side. She had disappeared into thin air. The castles that I had built around her came crashing down the thick veil of mist, which was more darker than before. A sudden silence of the sepulchers descended; I was staring at the vacant space beyond; I don't know for how long.

Purpose of this blog

The purpose of this blog is to serve as a storage space where in I can jot down memories, important and funny events in my life. Some posts may reflect my mood at the time of writing the post. I want these words, if not thoughts to be frozen in bytes in some distant corner of this globe. The concept of a blog is wonderful and when it comes for free and is accessible from PC or 'lappy' no matter wherever one is, what more can one ask for. I express my heartfelt gratitude to the creators of this blog and internet.

Thanks Google and Tim Bernier Lee!!

On my way to work .......

Once upon a time, there lived a software engineer whose name was James. He developed keen interest towards management sciences and a host of other arts which require one's intellectual abilities and creativity. He believed that work is workship provided the worker enjoys his work, because doing a work is a sort of laya which takes the worker towards higher material and spiritual planes.

Though James never wanted to join the software field,Mrs.Fate had her own plans. James thought he could pursue his ideal job after gaining some work experience and so he joins a medium-size IT company. There, James quickly gains acquaintance with the people, obsolete technologies, the laborious and brain-draining work process and the unusual politics that got imbedded in the minds of people at his work place. Though, he had a good knowledge of the insider stories of his work place, James prefers to be a bystander. After working or rather struggling for a couple of years James had to face the wrath of his boss. His boss wanted James to work in some good old technology and James rejects it flatly. James begins to hate his work and the work culture, so he decides to quit his job hoping that he would find a better job that would suit his taste. He gets prepared mentally for the impending job change.

And so he starts searching for a new job. Will James be able to find the job? If he does, will that be a better job than the last one?

Well, you see Iam ignorant. I dont have answers to these questions just like you.
Waiting with fingers crossed....

Ahh! what a weekend.

Well, I just returned from a eventful weekend. It was friday and I left for home at
6:00PM. After completing a couple of jobs on my way to my home, I thought, I would
relax. Did I relax listening to sonorous music? Nay, my friends had called me up to attend a reception party of one of my close friend's sister. Soon, I got dressed in jeans and a blue T-shirt and left for the venue. The party went well, the food was good, the ladies in their bright and traditional sarees were very pretty. I simply enjoyed. It's 11PM, so I wished my friends goodbye! Boy,that was a great evening after a long time.

On the next day, I had spent the entire day in front of my computer, listening to music under the guise of preparing for a certification exam, sshhh!

On Sunday, I thought I would do the same. But, then my mother had a different plan for me. She wanted me to accompany her to Chiranjeevi's(Annaya's) felicitation function. We had two VIP's passes. We reached the venue at 5'o clock in the evening.
Our driver unintentionaly drove us straightaway to VVIP's entrance. There we got to see Suresh Babu (actor Venki's brother) and some other big personalities whom I do not even recognise. I thought, I would leave my mother at the VIP's block and return to the VVIP's entrance to see the much-awaited stardom closely. But, my mother did not like that idea. She urged me to take my seat in the VIP's block. So, there I sat dreaming about the glamour and the glory of the film industry. I saw Amitabh,Annaya,Pawan Kalyan,Mohan Babu,Dasari Narayana Rao,Srikanth,Asin,Venu Madhav and a host of heroines of yesteryears who have acted alongside Annaya. The stage and the performance looked simply awesome. It was 8PM and my mother wanted to leave as it was getting late to another party. But a wonderful thing happened. Any guesses? I got to see Shreya. She looked like a fairy to me and I stood flabbergasted. Soon I felt someone pulling my hand and suddenly I realized that it was my mother. I returned to this world very reluctantly! I said to myself that one day I would gift my mother a lovely bride as beautiful as Shreya, laughs.

And then off to another ceremony. I met most of the relatives there. Most of them liked my shirt very much and complimented me for the same. Here, I would like to thank my designer(yeah, I think, Iam a celebrity) and childhood friend Mr Sudheer Anne for his thoughtful dress selections. The evening was wonderful. When I hit my head to the pillow, I was recollecting the chain of events that I went through the evening. Then, suddenly came a funny idea to my mind. I began to wonder how my life would be if I joined the film industry. I honestly think that I have a flair for acting. hmm!

Hope, I get to attend such memorable evenings more frequently. Will I? Well, I don't know.

Well, I miss the beautiful weather,I miss the beauty in nature, I miss all the knowledge in books, I miss the teachings of a common man's day, I miss that sweet music, I miss my parents and well-wishers and finally I missed myself.

And I ask the same question. What Iam doing here?? Iam ignorant.

Karma

People often attribute a person's social or economical standing to his/her past karma.Excellent, I agree that to some extent that is true. One example in support of this is something like this... a child born to wealthy and healthy parents and a sick child born to poor parents .

Now let us think of the beginning of this universe for sometime. This is relevant to the question that I pose now. If God created beings (initially) without any partiality to any soul, how come they end up at unequal status in terms of the socio-economic standing. If karma is an act of volition, what is that makes a doer of bad actions to commit a sin? If you attibute it to his/her past karma and argue that one bad karma sets off a chain reaction and that makes the subject to commit more and more bad actions, then why a person commits a bad action in the first place when God's creation is without bias? Why only some selected souls are targeted to commit sins?

Is God playing a game with us?........... hmmm

I don't know. Iam ignorant..........
